Request: a way to turn on a frame rate readout to see how the game is running.

What was built: Settings > Display > Show frame rate. A small corner readout shows frames per second, and at high game speeds the real speed the game reaches (for example 5x → 4.2x real).

Update: fixed and improved in 0.1.8.23 (Oct 22, 2026, 3:21 PM Eastern).

Show frame rate can now be switched on from the main menu's Settings > Display too. The readout sits top right under the top bar, where no panel covers it, and has a second line counting the enemies on the map and the towers placed ("Enemies 120 · Towers 34").
