Status: Done in 0.1.8.9

Requested: Oct 20, 2026
Done: Oct 20, 2026 in 0.1.8.9

Request: Check for a new version automatically after signing in, and make it easy to see when one is out.

Why: So nobody plays on an old version without knowing.

What was built: The game checks for a new version each time you sign in. When one is out, the Update available button in the bottom-right corner of the main menu turns green, and a green badge shows on Settings and on its About tab, where the update downloads.
